After all, a true leader (Isn't that something all of us want to be?) is also a responsible citizen and he knows how to enjoy life. CulCom is an attempt in that direction. Being a young institute, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us to shape the cultural and social fabric of this institute in a way that is reflective of the society and which helps us in developing into good citizens and
future leaders. Armed with that mission, CulCom organizes a number of events throughout the year. As the new batch arrives in June, CulCom organizes a Talent Nite. Though a fun event, it basically acts as an ice-breaker between the two batches. This marks the formal welcome of the new participants into the family that IIM Indore is. Talking about parties, one has to acknowledge the fact that bi-monthly dance parties are an essential feature of our life here. They act as a pressure release valve. To keep the enthusiasm and novelty going, CulCom organizes theme parties. In the past we have had themes like "Life is Black & White", "Ethnic Day", "Life is a box of chocolates". Painful rears notwithstanding, these parties are no less memorable than what we learn in our lectures, if not more!! CulCom, as the name suggests, is a way to keep in touch with the Indian culture. True to this positioning, CulCom promises to make every participant feel at home during the festivals. Diwali here is as much fun, noise, sweets, lights and love as it is at home. Holi witnesses our metamorphosis into a different animal altogether. The cake on Christmas and party on the eve of New Year are a lucrative proposition for many of us to forgo our trips to our homes.
