Welfare Association for the blind, Indore [MPWAB] with the sole aim of working for comprehensive rehabilitation of persons with visual impairment at M.P. state level (central part of India). Since its inception in 1961. Organization has developed need based services for the persons with visual impairment in the areas of prevention, early identification, education, counseling,rehabilitation, employ
ment, advocacy and many other specialized supportive services. We are honored by patron ship of honorable his Excellency Governor of Madhya Pradesh. Today MPWAB has come up as largest organization of its kind with such wider vision for the cause, in our organization group of beneficiaries equally involve with professionals in developing policy and implementation of various programs. The organization is extending its services with the limited support of state government,national & International funding agencies (time to time) & public donation for free, education, training, lodgging boarding facilities to approximately 175 visually impaired persons. We have a district branch at Dewas, working for visually impaired girls. Organization has been awarded by ministry of social justice and empowerment govt. of India. With institutional national award for qualitative service in 2004 by hon. President of India.
