🌍 SAIP Student Federation sends warm greetings on World Pharmacists Day 2025!

✨ This year’s FIP theme is “Think Health, Think Pharmacist.”
As future pharmacy leaders, we reaffirm our commitment to improving health access, ensuring medicine safety, educating communities, and strengthening health systems.

📌 In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we especially emphasize SDG 3: Good Health & Well-Being — ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages.
Pharmacists are critical to:

achieving universal health coverage,

supporting preventive care and health education,

optimizing use of medicines, and

being trusted points of care in communities.

The SAIP Student Federation takes inspiration from Sri Aurobindo’s vision — blending knowledge, service, and transformation — to serve humanity with dedication, compassion, and innovation.

Sri Aurobindo Institute of Pharmacy Student federation (SAIP-SF) attended the Asia-Pacific Pharmaceutical Symposium (APPS-2023), On day four of APPS a vibrant Public Health Campaign called Hepa Beats kicked off in the morning, with participants enthusiastically joining a Zumba session. The campaign aimed to educate about hepatitis prevention and promote healthy lifestyle choices, while engaging participants in an energetic exercise routine.

This was followed by a traditional game event where participants were divided into their respective groups and were able to play these four games:

1. Bakiak is a traditional Indonesian game played by two groups at a time, usually on a sandy or grassy surface. The objective of the game is to reach the finish line while balancing on wooden blocks called "bakiak" or "bekel" tied to each player's feet.

2. Balap Karung/ sack race - it is a traditional Indonesian game where participants race while jumping inside a large sack (karung). This game will be played by two groups at a time. The objective of the game is to reach the finish line by hopping forward in the sack faster than the other participants.

3. Tarik Tambang, also known as Tug of War, is a traditional Indonesian game played between two groups. The objective of the game is to pull the rope (tambang), trying to make the opposing group lose their balance and cross a designated line.

4. Kain Jarik Relay Race is a fun and energetic game played by two groups at a time where participants pass a kain jarik from one groupmate to another while holding hands. The objective is to finish the race in the fastest time possible while successfully passing the kain jarik through each participant without breaking the hand-holding chain.

Group 4 won the 1st prize in this event by winning in 3 out of 4 games.

In the afternoon, the regional assembly continued, and the agenda was Election. A new APRO Chairperson was elected during this session. This day was followed by a free night where all the participants were able to explore the city and shop for souvenirs.
