Traffic Police Chowki Inauguration one at Banaswadi road Machalibetta junction on 29 Nov, 2025 - by Bengaluru North City Corporation Commissioner Shri Pommala Sunil Kumar - bem members - Traffic police dept. and the second one at Davis road Hennur Road Junction:

Date : 29 Nov, 2025 Time 11.00am Location : Banaswadi road Machalibetta junction

As planned earlier, two traffic police booths/ Chowkis were handed over to the Police department.

These were designed to make the hard working policemen a little more comfortable with inbuilt fans, lighting, cushioned seats with all round visibility and locking facility.

The first chowki at Machalibetta was sponsored by Grace Hospitality and inaugurated today by the Commissioner Bengaluru North Corporation, Sri Pommala Sunil Kumar IAS at 11am.

More than 100 RWA members, police personnel and local pourakarmikas enthusiastically participated in the grand event.

The second police chowki was also inaugurated at Davis Road junction by Sri Vishnu Prasad Director of Shivaisha Projects private limited who was also the sponsor of the chowki. Sri A Baskar professor of SKY performed the pujas at both places.

The whole project of two chowki fabrication and positioning was painstakingly coordinated by Sri Albert and supported by BEM. Sri Dhanraj and his team of traffic policemen graced the occasion.

Many RWA members handed over Memorandums requesting for action at Commissioner level for important issues.

INTENSIVE CLEANING, CLEARING & BEAUTIFICATION DRIVE

The Greater Bengaluru North Municipal Corporation – Health & Engineering Departments, along with the Commissioner, Mr. Sunil Kumar IAS, Commissioner, Bengaluru North City Corporation will be conductingconducting an Intensive Cleaning, and Beautification Program along the Ring Road stretch and adjoining service roads from Ramamurthi Nagar Junction to Veeranapalya Junction.

This night-time drive aims to rejuvenate and beautify one of North Bengaluru’s key arterial stretches or road networks ensuring a cleaner, greener, and safer environment for all.

Members of Bengaluru Eshanya Mahavedike (BEM), local Ward officials, PK and residents were present to interact with the Commissioner and officials during the drive, sharing insights and extending full support towards this civic initiative.

B.E.M Managing Committee Members actively participating in the GBGA seminar at 'Ashirvad' on 17th May 2025

Greater Bengaluru Governance Act Seminar organised by CIVIC Bengaluru at 'Ashirvad ' today.

Around 16 BEM members participated in an enlightening seminar where eminent speakers gave detailed information on G B G Act.

Our query from bem federation was on how to get the best out of the existing system.

So CIVIC Executive trustee madam Kathyayani has suggested that we can hold a meeting in our area where Sri Sandeep Anirudan will attend and explain how they are effectively functioning as a larger association at Whitefield which can be adopted by BEM RWAs.
