Today, on 2nd April 2026, World Autism Awareness Day was observed under the theme “Autism and Humanity – Every Life is Value” at the SJ Auditorium, Itocha Block, Shija Hospital.The programme was organized by the Handicapped Development Foundation, Manipur in collaboration with Shija Hospitals and Research Institute Pvt. Ltd. and the National Trust, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
The event aimed to raise awareness about autism, promote inclusion, and emphasize the importance of valuing every individual regardless of their abilities.

Today, on 21st March 2026, the HD Foundation in Manipur observed World Down Syndrome Day at the HDF Activities Centre located in Lamdeng Mayai Leikai, Imphal West. The occasion was marked by a vibrant dance competition, showcasing the talents, confidence, and joyful spirit of the persons with disabilities.The event was graced by distinguished presidium members, including Dr. Sapam Jasowanta Singh, Chairman of the HD Foundation; Shri Chingangbam Chaoba Singh, Patron Member of the Foundation; and Shri Shagolsem Ranjit Singh, Retired Supervisor, AG Manipur.

Today, on 21st March 2026, the HD Foundation in Manipur observed World Down Syndrome Day at the HDF Activities Centre located in Lamdeng Mayai Leikai, Imphal West. The opening ceremony of the “We Ring the Bell Campaign 2026” was held on Monday, 16th March 2026, at Unique Golden Cradle (UGC) School, Awang Khunou, Imphal West. The programme was inaugurated by W. Birahari Singh, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of Manipur, Dr. Sapam Jasowanta Singh, Chairman of HD Foundation, and Mr. Salam Sumer Singh, Principal of Unique Golden Cradle (UGC) School.

Dance Competition on World Down Syndrome Day 2026
This is to inform all HDF children and youngster persons with disabilities that a Dance Competition will be organized in observance of World Down Syndrome Day on 21st March 2026, with the aim of promoting awareness, inclusion, and celebrating the abilities of individuals with Down syndrome.
The theme for World Down Syndrome Day 2026 is Against Loneliness.
All interested HDF children and youngster persons with disabilities are requested to register their names with the organizing committee on or before the deadline.
Programme Details
• Event: Dance Competition
• Occasion: World Down Syndrome Day 2026
• Last Date for Registration: 19th March 2026
• Venue: HDF Activities Centre, Lamdeng Mayai Leikai (near Ema Laikhurembi)
Registration forms will be available at the HDF Activities Centre, Lamdeng Mayai Leikai (near Ema Laikhurembi).

Today, Tuesday, 3rd March 2026, Handicapped Development (HD) Foundation, Manipur, in collaboration with BABINA HOSPITAL, Khabeisoi organized a One-Day Free Health Camp covering Pediatrics, ENT, and General Medicine at the HD Foundation Activity Centre, Lamdeng Mayai Leikai, near Ema Laikhurembi, Imphal West.During the camp, free medical consultations were provided and medicines were also distributed to the beneficiaries. The initiative aimed to extend accessible healthcare services to the local community, with special focus on persons with disabilities and underprivileged families.
