Tangkhul Katamnao Long Imphal, an apex body of all tangkhul students' union Imphal was formed by the tangkhul students who resides in Imphal, the capital of Manipur, in the year 1932. TKLI is a non-political and non-profit making organisation which was registered under Manipur Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 on 26 Dec. 1977, having a registration no. 2336/77. Since its inception TKLI has bee
n striving to be a model Organisation and now it can be proudly said that this dream is almost fulfilled. Now TKLI is being lauded as the second biggest body of all Tangkhul Students Union. TKLI is known for its courage, capabilities and ethnic cultural identities. It is the result of the dedicated works of our brothers and sisters and senior activists which from a very humble beginning has come to the position as it is today. Some of the Objectives are:
i). To preserve and protect our customs, culture and tradition which is valuable to us. To arrange and held periodic lectures, discussions, seminars, conference, sports meet, workshops etc, for mental and physical development of the students. To become an active agent for peace and harmony with all communities.
