We are deeply saddened by the loss of Ronex Laishram, a true supporter and long-time contributor to the Extreme Metal scene in Manipur.

Ronex lived the scene - always present at gigs, always supporting bands, and always standing for extreme music. As a guitarist, he played in bands like Cephalic Gorment and Vomiting Purity, along with other projects that helped shape and push the local underground scene forward.

His absence leaves a deep void, but his spirit and contribution will forever remain part of our scene.

Rest in power brother.
You will not be forgotten. 🤘

IMPORTANT STORY: HOLLOW TO HOWL “A NEW CHAPTER IN THE IMPHAL SCENE”

In the early stages of preparation, Hollow to Howl was picking up momentum fast. Promotions were running smooth, bands were hyped, and the underground was shaking until chaos hit.

In early June, an unexpected state crisis erupted tension, shutdowns, and widespread uncertainty. We immediately put everything on hold, out of respect and safety. But that pause was never a surrender.

We regrouped. We reimagined. And after weeks of intense effort, setbacks, and restarts, we’re back.

The Ugly Truth Behind the Scene: Venue Battles and Business Promoter Violence the Rules against the Authority.

One of the hardest hits we took wasn’t just the state crisis, it was the direct sabotage of our vision by some local business promoters and venue authorities.

As we reached out for venues across Imphal, many rejected our proposals outright. But some went a step further there were verbal threats, intimidation tactics, and violent behaviour from certain promoters who saw our scene as a “nuisance” to their commercial interests. They tried to kill it.

Some venues were pressured to pull out last minute after initial agreements. Others received warnings about hosting “extreme” shows. It was clear, this wasn’t just bad business this was oppression of culture.

But if there’s one thing you should know about this scene it doesn’t die easy.

Thanks to a few solid warriors who never gave up we now have a new date and a new venue (to be revealed soon).
Some bands had to drop, but we replaced them with fresh, destructive acts who are hungry for chaos.

To everyone who supported us through the silence? we see you, we’re still here. Louder. Heavier. Unf**kwithable.
