Warm Wishes on the Auspicious Occasion of Ningol Chakouba
The Manipur Meitei Pangal Social Unification and Upliftment Organisation (MMSUUO) extends its heartfelt greetings and warm wishes to all the beloved Ningols (daughters and sisters) and the people of Manipur on the joyous and auspicious occasion of Ningol Chakouba, one of the most cherished traditional festivals of our land.
Ningol Chakouba holds a unique and sacred place in the cultural and emotional fabric of Manipur. It is a day that strengthens the bond of love and respect between brothers and sisters, between parents and daughters, and among all family members. The festival beautifully reflects the essence of our Manipuri society — one that values harmony, affection, and unity in the family and the community.
On this special day, married women (Ningols) are invited back to their parental homes and are lovingly welcomed with traditional feasts and heartfelt affection. It is not merely a celebration of food and gathering, but a deep reaffirmation of our shared traditions, mutual respect, and the everlasting emotional ties that bind families together.
The MMSUUO believes that such festivals play a vital role in promoting unity and mutual understanding among all communities of Manipur. Our cultural values and traditions are the foundations of peace, harmony, and coexistence. Festivals like Ningol Chakouba remind us that beyond religion, ethnicity, or social background, we all share the same spirit of love and humanity.
As we celebrate this beautiful festival, the Manipur Meitei Pangal Social Unification and Upliftment Organisation calls upon all communities — Meitei, Meitei Pangal, Naga, Kuki, and others — to uphold the values of brotherhood, compassion, and respect for one another. Let Ningol Chakouba be not only a celebration within families but also a symbol of unity for the entire state.
The organisation also takes this opportunity to acknowledge the vital role of women in shaping society. Our mothers, sisters, and daughters are the pillars of strength, love, and moral guidance. On this auspicious day, MMSUUO pledges to continue working towards women’s empowerment, social justice, and harmony among all sections of society.
May this Ningol Chakouba bring happiness, prosperity, and peace to every household. Let the spirit of love, respect, and unity continue to guide us toward a more inclusive and harmonious Manipur.
Happy Ningol Chakouba to all!
Long live the unity and cultural heritage of Manipur.
