Sorry about no update on page...it is deliberate...We have been pursuing our case in HC by our members and visited chambers quite often..
We shall not update more info as other vested parties may work on them..we shall update just the results when it is over.
No turning back against fighting for a just cause of the MPSC aspirants..

Meanwhile latest development in the recruitment policy of Govt of Manipur...We sincerely believe that our GOMA members' REPRESENTATION to the Governor of Manipur a few months back has a role to it..

So no 43 SDC like recruitment (notified vacancies excess recruitment) in the future direct competitive examination as per the latest Gazette ..this is a big win for the Aspirants of Manipur..

Hi all,
Sorry for no updates for the last two court sessions..

As usual, nothing substantial from the single bench of the HC of Manipur.. It is the typical case for maintainability submission from the other side, and on another day it is the "couldn't hear the case cos of time running out..."

At the Double-benched HC of Manipur, nothing substantial as one of the judges apart from the retiring CJ is a relative to the other side's lawyer, and it has to be transferred to another HC as per the rules.

Anyways, we have no expectation from this HC of Manipur...So we have been prepping for going to the SC of India with our case...

Donation drive has been ON with our close associates who have started to donate generously for the cause...(All donations shall be made transparent and accountable).

We are already in the consultation process with a reputed SC chambers by one of our GOMA members...

CASE UPDATE & MESSAGE TO OUR FOLLOWERS

February 26th Hearing: Our case was not heard as time ran out before our turn. It was rescheduled for March 7th.

March 7th Hearing: Once again, our case was not heard as an eviction case before ours took the entire official hour.
The next returnable date has been set for April 4, 2025. Our learned counsel waited till the end and had an exchange of words with the judge regarding the delay. Our learned counsel requested our case be given priority on the 4th April hearing.

Why Such a Long Returnable Date?

Upon inquiry, we were informed that the Manipur High Court anniversy is coming up. Due to this, fewer cases are being heard, as many judges are occupied with meetings and preparing for many dignitary visits related to the occasion.

The Case Enters a Crucial Phase

For the other side: If the case fails, some of the 43 SDCs will not be able to return to their previous jobs after two years if the 43 SDC is struck down by the High Court/Supreme Court in future.

For us: We are exploring ways to submit a representation to the Hon’ble Governor of Manipur for efficient and effective MPSC with a massive signature campaign highlighting the legal issues since 2016 till the present with MPSC CSEs examinations

Case Update :

Case hearing continues into two phases one from 12.30 pm - 1.30 pm, and after lunch, it continues from 2.30 pm - 3.20 pm..

We shall not divulge much for the sake of case..
next hearing on 26th Feb 2025...

Our learned counsels argue for earlier dates but due to some social functions of the parties, 26th was assigned..

Thanking GOMA members for being there at Court premise from 10 am - 4 pm, meeting our learned counsels and throughout the case...

4TH FEB 2025, CASE UPDATE.

HIGH-PITCHED AND HIGH-INTENSITY RESPONSE BY OUR LEARNED ADVOCATES ON THE HIGH COURT TODAY.

Our case was in the early admission part for today's Cause List (Sl.No 10). As usual, the other side requested the Judge for time extension because of
1) Pvt party advocate has urgent social function of his family
2) AG was out of station in Delhi.

It was then at this moment our learned advocates tore the other side's excuses and pushed to dispose the case today's itself.

Our learned Advocate even reminded that the Judge that this is not some Munsiff court but the HIGH COURT OF MANIPUR, and demanded Rs 50000/- as cost for wasting the time of all.

The JUDGE finally put a strong-worded ORDER that the first part of the case to be heard on the 14th, no matter the absentees, based on the already submitted records.

for us...WE WONT BE BACKING DOWN...WE ARE READY TO FIGHT IT OUT TILL SC if NEED BE...but it doesn't seem likely as SC recently in 2024 struck down a similar case...

Why we do what we do?

1. it is not personal, never was with any of the 43 ..the case started with the donated money from all fuming aspirants, we were just the petitioners and runners...

2. We shall see to the conclusion of this case. Whatever be the result of this case, we can't just make this type of recruitment from non-selecting candidates for vacancies a norm.. this case should teach those involved not to repeat such misadventures.

Disappointing day for the team. We have been at the Court premised from 10.30 am onward.

The case was heard at 3.15 pm, but the case was postponed to 4th Feb 2025 owing to reasons like AG's absence and meeting of Judges later in the day.
