On the occasion of World Environment Day, our respected Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East, Dr. Nivedita Lairenlakpam, IAS, addressed the gathering and delivered an inspiring awareness message.

She emphasized that we must not limit ourselves to plantation drives alone. We should also take responsibility to nurture and care for the plants we plant today. She further suggested organizing a competition on next World Environment Day to see which plant has grown the most in terms of maturity, highest and healthiest.
