I filed an RTI application before Public Information Officer Commissioner Minorities Welfare Telangana State,Hyderabad on 17-01-2025 for seeking the following information:
1.Provide the details of budget allocated, sanctioned and spent during the financial year 2024-2025.
2. Provide the number of schemes announced for minorities and number of schemes implemented in Telangana state from 2024 to till date.
3. Provide the list of beneficiaries who have benefitted by financial schemes implemented by Minority welfare department from 2024 to till date.
4. Provide the details of budget Un spend in the year 2024. Provide the list Component wise and scheme wise.
5. Provide the list of Components whose budget was not allocated by the state government of Telangana in the year 2024 to till date.
For this I received a reply from TGCMFC,Hyderabad. As per the details provided by them the budget allocated in this financial year by government is 82.73cr. Even though that much of amount is allocated,a petty amount of 1.98cr is sanctioned so far.
Government is not in a position to sanction the entire budget sanctioned to the Finance corporation. An eyewash amount of Rs.1.98cr is only sanctioned which comes to 2.39% of budget allocated. Out of this 1.98cr, an amount of Rs.1.14cr is only utilized by the corporation leaving aside an unspent amount of Rs.84lakhs.
What a pity state of affairs prevailing in the functioning of Telangana Minorities Welfare Department.
Government is not at all serious in providing various beneficial schemes for the minority communities living in the State of Telangana.
