2 October, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, is observed by the United Nations as the International Day of Non-Violence. The day reminds us of the importance of peace, tolerance, understanding, and resolving conflicts without violence.

With devotion, togetherness, and joyful hearts, PHIN Deaf celebrated Ganapati Puja for 9 days, from 15th September to 22nd September 2026. 🐘🙏

The celebration brought together our Deaf students, staff, and PHIN family to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha for happiness, wisdom, strength, and success. 🌸✨

🤟 International Day of the Deaf – Awareness Rally 💙

On 28 September 2026, PHIN Deaf organised an inspiring International Day of the Deaf Awareness Rally with enthusiastic participation from Government High School, Malakpet and Prerana School for Children with Intellectual Disabilities.

Together, students, teachers, staff and supporters came together to spread awareness, promote inclusion, celebrate Deaf culture, and advocate for the rights of Deaf people. 🤟💙

The rally was a meaningful step towards building a more inclusive, accessible and equal society, where every person can communicate, learn, participate and live with dignity.

For 75 years, Deaf communities around the world have raised their voices, strengthened sign languages, promoted Deaf leadership, and advocated for equal participation and opportunities.
