Has it been a week already?
This time at the Hyderabad Runners annual awards night, our group won four awards.
3 special recognition awards and the award for the best running group.
for all her exploits at multiple running events this past one year. She has been relentless this past year and has won no less than 5 podiums at multiple running events. At 62 years, she seems to be just getting started with her podium journey. More power to her ✨
won the Special Recognition award for his work of building the , a local chapter of the LB Nagar Runners. He's also the co-founder of the . For starters, the LB Nagar Runners group was formed in 2011 as one of the earliest subgroups of the . Venkat Ankam is also spearheading the sustainability initiative at the for a few years now and has been instrumental in the event creating a green impact.
won the award for his work in building the Mansoorabad Milers subgroup and his work on the sustainability initiatives at the LB Nagar Runners and the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon. Manoj is constantly seen sharing his 'green' insights on everything we do at the LB Nagar Runners.
And the big one, our group won the Best Running Group after a gap of 6 years, thanks to all the work that we've done across various initiatives and the kind of impact we've created in the larger running community. Our WhatsApp group now has more than 600 members and we've been actively growing every year, adding no less than 100 people every year for the past 3 years. Our group members are regularly seen contributing to the society in general and to the initiatives of the larger Hyderabad Runners community. And we breathe running 😊
