When children, schools, parents, NGOs, and the police come together - real change happens. 💙

At SCSC Conclave 2025, Sankalp is honoured to be recognised as an Impact Partner for promoting child safety, in collaboration with SCSC. The memento was received by Ms. Hemalatha Vijayaraghavan, Founder & President of Sankalp, from Ms. Charu Sinha, IPS (ADGP, CID), a leader of key women and child safety initiatives.

Together with SCSC, Sankalp has established 35 Suraksha Kavach Clubs across low-income private schools in Serilingampally Mandal, reaching 18,000+ children. These clubs empower children as champions of safety—covering physical safety, cyber safety, mental well-being, and road safety.

Khan Paan Dhukan (KPD), held on 2nd February 2026, was not just another day for the Sathguru team - it was a heartfelt celebration of compassion, community, and collective responsibility. What began as a simple idea to raise funds for child education and child safety blossomed into a vibrant space where fun truly found its purpose. ✨❤️

Thanks to the overwhelming response from colleagues, families, corporate partners, and the neighbourhood community, the event raised INR 5,54,436, to be utilized for Sankalp Siksha Scholarships (2026–2027). The day reaffirmed a belief close to our hearts: impact doesn’t always begin with grand gestures - sometimes, it starts with a meal cooked with love and served with intention.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous sponsors who played a vital role in making this initiative a success - LIC Srinivas for the ice creams and water bottles, City Chefs for the delicious veg soft noodles and gobi 65, and New Godavari Men’s Hostel, Madhapur for the flavourful veg biryani and raita.

Deeply grateful to every colleague who cooked, served, contributed, and believed. Together, we proved that fun with purpose is not only possible - it is truly transformative. 💛

“I feel scared when my father beats my mother…” A child said it quietly. Innocent eyes. Fear still lingering.

As part of our child sexual abuse prevention and child safety sessions at Sankalp, we use play-based, joyful methods to help children understand emotions and safety. One such activity is the Wheel of Emotions—a simple game where children talk about what makes them happy, sad, angry, confused, or scared.

Most children share familiar feelings like happiness in food and movies, sadness when friends don’t talk, anger when siblings fight, and confusion during exams or maths.

But when we reach the emotion “fear,” a painful pattern often emerges.
Beyond fear of darkness or horror movies, many children share that they feel scared when their father beats their mother. They feel helpless. Confused and not knowing what to do.

If children grow up witnessing violence and normalising it, how do we expect them to unlearn it later?

Raising a generation rooted in respect needs more than classroom lessons.
It needs safe homes, accountable adults, and collective courage to act. This is where women’s empowerment, child safety, and gender equality intersect. Let’s invest where it truly matters.
