Anand Bag Residents’ Welfare Association(frequently abbreviated as ABRWA) is a civic body that represents the interests of the residents .Membership is voluntary, and the leadership is usually elected by fee-paying members. ABRWA is not official organs of government, or political . ABRWA represents citizen interests. ABRWA is governed by bye-laws created, which include such things as membership criteria, voting rights, and the conditions under which officers can initiate legal proceeding on behalf of the registered society. Anand Bag Residents’ Welfare Association was founded by a group of local residents. The Association is a democratic organisation which does not act as a single issue pressure group. We have experience acquired over the last 40 years representing the views of residents to local government and other public services on a wide range of issues, which preserve the historic qualities and amenities of the colony.
