127th birth anniversary of pujya Babuji Maharaj - International Day of Heartfulness.

Babuji was born on 30th April 1899 in the north Indian town of Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh). From an early age, he displayed a craving for spiritual realization that overshadowed all other interests.
In June 1922, at the age of twenty-two, he met Lalaji, who recognized Babuji as the person who had appeared in his dream years before as his successor.
Though there were very few meetings between guru and disciple before Lalaji left his physical body in 1931, Babuji was in perpetual remembrance of Lalaji and insisted that he could not live for a second without his inner guidance. Babuji believed that evolution of consciousness is the birthright of all and should be offered freely to sincere seekers everywhere. He believed that a true Guru is the ultimate servant, and he lived his life serving all, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, gender or nationality. He taught that material and spiritual life go hand in hand, like the two wings of a bird, and that the normal life of a householder is the best environment in which to learn the twin virtues of love and sacrifice. Accordingly, he simplified and perfected the system of Raja Yoga so that everyone could practice and benefit from it.
He advised his followers not to be discouraged by their faults and shortcomings, but to let go of mistakes, resolving not to repeat them again. He reminded them that it is in the present that we develop our character and thus create a brighter future.
Babuji was, by nature, the humblest of people and had immense faith in his guru. He was confident that seekers of every culture and nationality would embrace the simple and effective practices that he offered. In 1972, he took the Heartfulness method to Europe and America, accompanied by his attendant, Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari of Chennai. Parthasarathi, known to his associates as Chariji, was later chosen to succeed Babuji as the third guru in the Heartfulness tradition.

Today is a doubly auspicious day as we celebrate Basant Panchami alongside the 153rd Birth Anniversary of Pujya Lalaji Maharaj (Samarth Guru Shri Ram Chandra Ji Maharaj of Fatehgarh).

These great souls descend not for fame, but purely for the "good of the world." Lalaji Maharaj was a pioneer who simplified the ancient system of Pranahuti (Yogic Transmission), making the highest spiritual reaches accessible to the common householder.

🌸 Remembering the Morning Star: Pujya Lalaji Maharaj 🌸

On this sacred day of Basant Panchami, we bow in deep gratitude to the fountainhead of the Sahaj Marg tradition, Pujya Lalaji Maharaj, on his 153rd Jayanti.

Lalaji was the embodiment of "Love Personified." He didn't just teach spirituality; he lived it in the narrow lanes of Fatehgarh, proving that a person can reach the pinnacle of Realization while fulfilling every worldly duty. He brought the "Spring" of spirituality into the hearts of thousands, clearing the weeds of the ego to let the soul bloom.

"Be not a slave to your desires, but a master of your destiny." — Pujya Lalaji Maharaj

As we celebrate his legacy, let us carry his light forward not through rituals, but through the transformation of our inner selves.

đź’Ž 3 Timeless Advices from His Life

Pujya Lalaji’s life was his greatest message. Here are three principles everyone can emulate to lead a more meaningful life:

1. The Balance of "Grihastha" (Householder) Life

Lalaji lived as a humble family man. He taught that we do not need to flee to the Himalayas to find God.

The Lesson: Spirituality is not an escape from responsibility; it is the ability to perform your duties with a heart centered on the Divine.

2. Radical Forgiveness and Love

It is said that Lalaji never harbored ill will, even toward those who tried to harm him. He viewed everyone as a spark of the same Divine Light.

The Lesson: To grow spiritually, one must cultivate a heart that is "softer than a flower." Practice letting go of grievances to keep your inner atmosphere clean.

3. Simplicity and Un-assumption

Despite his spiritual stature, he lived with extreme simplicity and never sought the spotlight. He preferred the "hidden" life, focusing on the internal growth of his disciples rather than external displays of power.

The Lesson: True greatness lies in being "less than the least." Focus on being useful to others rather than being noticed by others.

Let us honor the legacy of Pujya Lalaji Maharaj by transforming our homes into hermitages and our hearts into sanctuaries of love. By balancing our worldly duties with inner stillness, we can turn the "Spring" of Basant into a permanent state of being. May we live not for ourselves, but as humble instruments of peace, embodying the simplicity and grace he so beautifully defined.

Swami Vivekananda once said, “Character is the sum total of one’s thoughts, which depend partly upon one’s training and partly upon the surroundings in which one moves.”

We can mindfully redirect our thoughts when we notice a disturbance, but many aspects of our surroundings affect us subconsciously; we are simply not aware of them. Therefore, our level of awareness matters. And the more we practise meditation, the more our awareness and consciousness expand.

Let us imbibe Swami Vivekananda’s timeless teachings in our daily lives. Heartfelt greetings on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda - Daaji

It is possible to integrate meditation into our daily routines by meditating at our workplace.

For instance, farmer sisters & brothers in rural areas find great joy & peace in meditating before beginning their farm work in the fields.

It is worth recalling the words of Lord Christ: “Be ye like little children.” This childlike state reflects innocence and purity. A child does not carry the burden of ego that says, “I know it all.” Such attitudes close the door to learning and limit the expansion of consciousness. When we remain simple, open, and receptive, growth happens naturally.

May the light of Christ awaken simplicity in our hearts and guide us toward love, clarity, and deeper awareness. Heartfelt Christmas greetings to all - Daaji
