Naad Brahma Shastriya Sangeet Vidyalaya founded in 1986 is one of the renowned schools in Hyderabad for Indian Classical Vocals, located in Srinagar Colony.Hyderabad India Swati Phadke, an exponent of the Kirana Gharana tradition, Naad Brahma has been training students in Indian Classical Vocals for over 35 years now. Smt Swatiji was a Post Graduate in Music from SNDT College, Mumbai, and had been
trained by the legend Vidushi Dr Prabha Atre Ji under the Kirana Gharana tradition during her SNDT years. She was also Sangeet Visharad from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya Mandal, Miraj and had her early studies under Guru Pt Anandrao Adhav ji of Kopergaon, Maharashtra and Guru Swargiya Shri Godbole ji of Mumbai. She believed in the awareness of the essence of music more than anything else. She had a number of talented students to her credit with significant achievements and awards. Away from public appearance, she valued teaching more than anything else and enjoyed the challenges of teaching to different students. The Vidyalaya is being run by Swargiya Guru Swati ji's disciples led by Mathangi Phadke, also a Sangeet Visharad from ABGMVM. Other disciples of Swargiya Swati ji teaching the students of Naadbrahma are Harini Rao, Jayanti Deshpande, Abolee Deshpande, Pubali Mattoo, Renuka Atmakuuri, Swarnali Pal and Meenakshi Sukhtankar. The Vidyalaya is also an Examination Centre of the ABGMVM for the November/December examinations in Hyderabad.
