Empowering Lives Through Mobility - Wheelchair Distribution at NIEPID.

Ramky Foundation is proud to support an initiative that brings greater mobility, independence, and dignity to persons with disabilities.

As part of this meaningful effort, our team visited the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID) to distribute wheelchairs to identified beneficiaries. The wheelchairs were generously provided by Amazon & Goodera, whose support made this initiative possible.
The distribution was carried out in the presence of NIEPID officials, with interactions between the team, beneficiaries, and caregivers, reinforcing our shared commitment to creating a more inclusive and accessible society.

We sincerely thank Amazon, Goodera, and NIEPID for their collaboration in making a positive difference in the lives of persons with disabilities. Together, we continue to empower communities and create lasting social impact.

Building Public Trust — The Higher Purpose of CSR

For Ramky Foundation, the appreciation of Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, widely recognised as the Father of CSR in India, carries significance far beyond recognition. It is an affirmation of purpose—and a responsibility to aspire higher.

As a seminal architect of India’s CSR framework, Dr. Chatterjee has shaped the understanding of CSR as an instrument of responsible corporate citizenship and national development.

His thought-provoking question, “What can we do that we have not done before?" captures the spirit of progressive CSR: to challenge convention, innovate with purpose, and create enduring public value.

we believe the true measure of CSR is not the scale of expenditure or visibility, but the depth of impact, the trust earned and the lasting value created for society.

His appreciation strengthens our resolve to advance CSR beyond compliance and convention—towards meaningful, measurable, and enduring social transformation.

From Traditional Livelihoods to Resilient Entrepreneurship

In the rural villages of West Tripura, pig rearing has long been a traditional livelihood for tribal women. However, limited access to scientific knowledge, proper healthcare, and modern management practices often resulted in low productivity and unstable incomes.

Through Holistic Rural Development Programme (HRDP), supported by the HDFC Bank Parivartan and implemented by Ramky Foundation, we are helping tribal women transform pig rearing into a sustainable enterprise.

Our intervention goes beyond providing piglets. We focus on capacity building through training on scientific pig rearing, hygienic shed management, balanced feed, vaccination, disease prevention, and continuous technical support.

Today, women are adopting improved practices, reducing livestock losses, increasing productivity, and generating reliable incomes. More importantly, they are gaining confidence, becoming decision-makers within their families, and inspiring others in their communities.

Empowering women with knowledge and opportunities creates resilient families and stronger rural communities.
