The Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) was the daughter of the industrial revolution, which, from the middle of the 19th century started the movement of women and girls out of the home & rural areas & into factories throughout the Western world. iscrimination & all forms of violence against women. Today in a world ridden with environmental degradation, violation of human rights, the YWCA as one of the largest women’s movements is in a strong position to be an agent for social transformation & change.
