When people think of hospice care, they often think of pain relief and symptom management. While these remain at the heart of what we do, our care goes far beyond medicine.

At Sparsh, we believe every person deserves moments of joy, dignity, comfort, and connection—no matter where they are in life’s journey.

✨ We celebrate life’s special moments.
Birthdays, wedding anniversaries, festivals, or even a patient’s favourite meal striving to make these moments meaningful, creating memories that bring comfort to patients and their loved ones.

🎨 We nurture emotional well-being.
Through art therapy, music, movie sessions, games, storytelling, and volunteer-led activities, we create opportunities for patients and caregivers to smile, engage, and find moments of peace amidst challenging times.

🤝 We care for caregivers too.
Caregiving can be emotionally overwhelming. Our weekly caregiver support meetings, led by our Social Work and Psychology teams, provide a safe space to share experiences, process grief, receive emotional support, and know they are not alone.

💙 We create lasting legacies.
Legacy-making is one of the most meaningful aspects of hospice care. From memory photo frames and handwritten messages to recorded voice notes and personalised keepsakes like family recipe books, we help preserve cherished memories that families can hold close for years to come.

At Sparsh, we don’t just add days to life—we strive to add life to every day.

Because hospice care is not only about treating illness; it’s about honouring every person’s story with compassion, dignity, and love.

Sparsh Whispers – 50✨

Like Blessings in Disguise
At just 37, life had already given Mr. P. Raju everything he held dear, a family to love and two children who depended on him. As the sole provider, his world revolved around their future.

But persistent stomach pain brought devastating news: advanced re**al cancer. Suddenly, hope felt distant. Doctors spoke of limitations, and his family was left grappling with fear and uncertainty.

In search of strength, Mr. Raju turned to faith visiting temples, whispering prayers, holding on to belief even when answers seemed out of reach. It was during this time that Sparsh Hospice was suggested to him. Unsure and hesitant, he didn’t expect much.

But sometimes, life surprises you in the gentlest ways.
Sparsh reached out. Care began not just medical, but emotional. What he once doubted slowly became his support system, his comfort… his blessing in disguise.
For the past five months, Sparsh has walked beside him offering care, compassion, and a sense of belonging. In a beautiful moment of connection, Mr. Raju invited the team to his Grih Puja, where smiles replaced silence, and gratitude filled the room.

Yet, beneath his strength lies a quiet ache the feeling that he could have done more for his children. And in that vulnerability, he reminds us of the depth of a father’s love.

At Sparsh, care goes beyond treatment. It’s about standing beside someone in their hardest moments, reminding them they are not alone. With the support of the SBI Foundation, these small yet powerful acts of humanity bring comfort, dignity, and belonging to those who need it most.

Because sometimes, what feels like the end… quietly becomes a blessing in disguise. ✨

Living Will Workshop 10

We often say that meaningful change begins at home — and this couldn’t have been more true for us at Sparsh.

Sparsh Hospice, a pet project of Rotary Club of Banjara Hills, has always been strengthened by the unwavering support of its members. It was truly special to take the Living Will Workshop to our own tribes. And what an incredibly engaged and thoughtful audience we had.

As conversations around end-of-life care gain importance, understanding a Living Will is essential. Through this workshop, we aim to demystify advance medical directives and empower individuals to make informed, thoughtful decisions about their future healthcare preferences — with clarity, dignity, and compassion.

We are also proud to share that over 1,000 participants have now been part of this workshop journey, a meaningful milestone for us. And this is just the beginning. We are committed to reaching 10,000 individuals over the next year, continuing to spark important conversations that truly matter.
If you are looking to host a well-being program that creates real impact and opens up essential dialogue, we would be happy to bring this workshop to your community at no cost.

Together, let’s build awareness, empower choices, and uphold dignity in care.

Sparsh Whispers - 49✨

They had spent a lifetime sharing simple joys morning tea on the veranda, quiet conversations at dusk, and plates of her favourite homemade meals. Food was never just food; it was love, memory, togetherness.

When Sumalatha was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, their world quietly shifted. Treatment began with hope, but two years later, the illness returned stronger, spreading into her bones. Due to her age, aggressive treatments were ruled out, and she was started on oral chemotherapy.

That’s when the real struggle began.

The medicines meant to heal slowly took away what she loved most. Painful mouth ulcers made every bite unbearable. Meals became a daily battle. The woman who once cooked with love could barely swallow a spoonful. Days turned into months nearly three years of eating without joy, taste, or comfort.

Her husband watched helplessly as their once lively dining table fell silent.
When they came to Sparsh, it wasn’t just for treatment it was for relief, for dignity. Through gentle conversations, she was helped to understand something deeply humane: sometimes, stopping treatment isn’t giving up it’s choosing comfort and peace.

It wasn’t easy. There were tears, hesitation, long discussions. Nearly two weeks later, she said yes.

And then… something changed.
The medicines stopped. The ulcers healed. The pain began to fade. For the first time in years, she could taste her food again.

The spark returned.
Each morning, she excitedly shared a list of dishes she wished to eat—simple joys she had missed. Her husband watched, now with tears of relief.

One day, the doctor asked gently, “What did you eat today?”
Her face lit up.
With a radiant smile, she said, “I had my favorite mutton biryani.”
In that moment, it wasn’t just about food. It was about reclaiming happiness, choosing comfort, and finding life again not in years, but in moments. And for them, those moments meant everything.

Sparsh Whispers – 48 ✨

Keerthy was a lively teenager who found joy in simple things losing herself in books and expressing her spirit through dance. Life felt full of promise until the day she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer.

In a moment, everything changed. Laughter faded, replaced by hospital visits, uncertainty, and quiet fear. She came to Sparsh not just for relief from pain, but in search of peace.

In her early days, Keerthy was withdrawn, holding more in her silence than in words. But with care, counselling, and time, something began to shift. As her pain eased, she slowly felt lighter physically and emotionally. Trust grew, and one day, she opened up.

“I just finished my 10th… I really want to study more. But my health… I don’t think it’s possible.”

Behind those words was a dream she wasn’t ready to let go of. Even when her body felt weak, her will to move forward stayed strong. This wasn’t just a wish it was her way of holding on to hope. And we knew we couldn’t let it fade.

We worked through the formalities and ensured Keerthy was enrolled in a nearby government school for her intermediate studies.

On the day she collected her books, there was a quiet transformation. With a warm handshake from the principal and the support of the Sparsh team beside her, she stood taller. Not because her illness had disappeared but because her identity had grown beyond it.

In that moment, she wasn’t just a patient. She was a student again. A dreamer again.

Keerthy’s story reminds us that care goes beyond medicine. Sometimes, the greatest healing lies in helping someone hold on to their dreams even when everything else feels fragile.

Thanks to for helping us create spaces where children in palliative care can live with dignity.

Sparsh Whispers – 47 ✨

Lokesh was only 6… but life had already asked too much of him. 💔
Diagnosed with osteosarcoma, he was fighting a battle no child should face just as his family was preparing to welcome his baby sister.
But fate was cruel.

The day his sister was born… his mother was lost.
In a single moment, joy and grief collided.
From then on, his father became everything caregiver, mother, strength for both his children.

When Lokesh came to Sparsh, he was in pain… not just in his body, but deep within his heart.

Long hospital days and the absence of his mother had dimmed his spirit.
But slowly, something beautiful happened. ✨

The ward became his little world.
Other children became his friends.

Laughter returned in small, precious moments through shared toys, giggles, and silent understanding.

We celebrated festivals together colors, balloons, tiny costumes, and big smiles filling the room.

And his birthday… oh, that day was special.
Cake, claps, sparkling eyesfor a moment, Lokesh wasn’t a patient. He was just a child again.

The day his baby sister visited him was unforgettable.
So small. So innocent.

A quiet reminder of both love and loss.
“Sparsh is not just treatment… it is family,” his father says.
We stood by them not just in care, but in life supporting him toward a more secure future, helping him find strength beyond the hospital walls.

Lokesh may no longer be with us…
But his courage, his smiles, and his gentle spirit stay.
With the support of Kotak Mahindra Prime Limited, we ensured his final journey was filled with dignity, love, and care.
Some stories break your heart…

but also remind you what humanity truly means.

Thanks to for helping us create spaces where children in palliative care can live with dignity.

Sparsh Whispers - 46 ✨

Raghavamma once lived for her children every sacrifice, every prayer, every moment centered around them. But today, in the quiet corners of her small home, she battles not just old age and epilepsy… but a silence that echoes abandonment.

Days pass without a knock. Weeks go by without a call. The children who were once her entire world have become distant memories. And loneliness? It lingers like an uninvited guest she cannot escape.

Yet, in the midst of this heartbreak… a gentle ray of hope arrives.

Every month, Sparsh shows up not just with medicines and dry rations, but with something far more powerful: care, dignity, and love.

We sit with her.
We listen to her stories.
We remind her that she still matters.
For Raghavamma, these visits are not charity they are lifelines. Moments she waits for… moments she lives for.

In her words:
"You treat me like family… the kind I thought I lost."
This isn’t just a story of pain. It’s a story of humanity of how strangers can become the family we need the most.

Because family isn’t always blood.
Sometimes, it’s kindness.
Sometimes… it’s Sparsh

Let’s remember: a small act of care can become someone’s entire world.
