The Crafts Council of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana (CCAPT) is a voluntary, non-profit organisation, founded in 1987, as an affiliate of the Crafts Council of India, which in turn is a member of the World Crafts Council. The CCAPT works with craftspeople from across the state of Andhra Pradesh & Telanga, with the two-pronged objective of reviving specific handicraft traditions of the state, as well a

s making these products available commercially. From it’s inception, the CCAPT has and continues to work on product development and marketing with Banjara Needle craft, Karimnagar Filigiree, Leather Puppets, Ettikopaka, and Bidri amongst others. The CCAPT at regular intervals also organizes weavers, artisans and craftspeople from various parts of the country to come together and sell their wares. Funded partially by the Central Government, and partially through fundraising events and sales it organises, the CCAPT channels its resources into providing support through infrastructure and marketing in order to make handicrafts sustainable for the crafts-person to produce, and accessible for the craft lover to own.

Vriksh Designs Orissa Contemporary Weaves — Rooted in traditional Indian textiles, Vriksh creates garments using natural materials, intricate weaves, and artisanal techniques — mindful slow fashion that carries stories of community, sustainability, and cultural heritage.

Vishwakarma Handicraft — Established in 1990 by Parmesh Vishwakarma, this craft initiative works with wooden and shell-based decorative items — rooted in the belief that shells carry good luck and that craft is the foundation of a meaningful life.

— A handloom designer, innovator, revivalist, and natural dyeing practitioner — dedicated to preserving and elevating India’s handloom heritage through master craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

Vasantha Varna by CCAP — CCAP’s initiative supporting the Ikkat weaving cluster of Kothuru, near the Telangana border — guiding weavers through natural dye training and independent market entry with sarees, fabric, and stoles, towards a sustainable ecosystem of craft and cultural tourism.

VAYA by Mira Sagar — Contemporary Maheshwari sarees woven in tissue, silk, cotton, and tussar — keeping alive the tradition of simplicity and geometric borders in collaboration with the weavers of Maheshwar.

— A “yarn to you” handloom brand by Nisha, crafting limited-quantity, versatile garments from the yarn stage — supporting small-scale weavers, sustaining handloom ecosystems, and weaving stories of heritage, elegance, and slow fashion into every piece.

— A women-run brand creating one-of-a-kind fashion, lifestyle, and home décor through crochet — every piece handmade using traditional techniques and locally sourced materials for a truly personalised, sustainable experience.

Tuma & Bamboo craft — Deepak Kumar Dewangan carves intricate designs on Tuma (dry bottle gourd) and bamboo to create home decoration lamps, planters, rainmakers, bamboo fountains, bamboo jewellery, and wind chimes — tribal craft reimagined for modern living.

— Trinjann revives authentic Phulkari through deeply researched, handwoven textiles — blending rare traditional motifs with crafts like Kalamkari and Ikat to create heirloom pieces that carry heritage, artistry, and quiet luxury.
