🚀Empowering Farmers: Data & Business Workshop!

Mr. Giribabu from Gramodaya Chamber of Commerce and Technology (GCOT) participated in the training organized by Digital Green Trust and supported the facilitation as part of our partnership in Hyderabad (Oct 7–9)! 🙌

GCOT is working with Digital Green in the FPO strengthening project through using data for smart decision-making and boosting their input/output business. It's all about making FPOs stronger and self-reliant! 💪

🌱 Strengthening FPO Leadership: Training on Data-Driven Decision-Making in Input & Output Business 🌱

On 22nd & 23rd September 2025, Giri Babu Garu from Gramodaya Chamber of Commerce and Technology (GCOT) had the opportunity to serve as the resource team for a focused capacity-building training held at Thotapalli, Parvathipuram Manyam District, Andhra Pradesh organised by Digital Green Trust (DGT) and aimed at enhancing the capabilities of FPO Board of Directors in data-driven planning and decision-making.

The core objective was to help FPO leaders:
✅ Understand their organizational SWOT
✅ Recognize the importance of data
✅ Learn how to use data effectively for input and output business planning and ex*****on

Highlights from the Training:

➡️ Small group discussions led to the identification of expected outcomes and the organization’s strategic goals.
➡️ Each FPO presented their current reality, conducted a SWOT analysis, and shared their unique journeys and achievements.
➡️A visioning exercise helped clarify their long-term aspirations.
➡️ Participants also developed seasonality maps for inputs and outputs, reinforcing the importance of data in operational planning.
➡️ An important session focused on identifying common business challenges and preparing realistic solutions.
➡️ Group presentations on FPO profiles, seasonality planning, and challenge-resolution strategies.
➡️ The training concluded with goal-setting exercises, actionable management practices, and clear activity plans to guide future decision-making.

We are confident that the participating FPOs are now better equipped to use data as a strategic tool for strengthening their input and output businesses.

🌱 Empowering Farmers with Organic Farming Techniques! 🌱

On 19th September 2025, an impactful event was held at the Eruvaka Centre (Dot Center), Chandupatla Village, Bhongir Mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District. Agriculture students had the unique opportunity to visit a farm and learn about organic farming practices for an entire month.

These students then organised an Awareness Session for local farmers, sharing the organic farming techniques they had learned.

Giri Babu Garu, representing Gramodaya Chamber of Commerce and Technology (GCOT), shared his firsthand experiences in sustainable farming, highlighting the long-term benefits of organic practices for farmers and the environment.

We were also joined by the team from Nyasta Gramojwala Solutions Pvt Ltd, an innovative Smart Motor Devices startup supported by GCOT. Rajesh Garu demonstrated their IoT-based Smart Motor Device, enabling farmers to remotely control irrigation motors through a mobile app, making farm management much easier.

🚜 GCOT & Digital Green Trust: Empowering Farmers Through Digital Innovation 🌱

On 18th September 2025, Gramodaya Chamber of Commerce and Technology (GCOT) in collaboration with Digital Green Trust conducted a key event to strengthen and support the development of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).

Here’s a glimpse of what went down:

Farmer Data Collection 📊: We worked on collecting vital farmer information to streamline and enhance their farming practices.

Farmer.Chat Partner App 📱: Inputs and outputs from FPOs were recorded, including detailed transactions of buying and selling stock, allowing us to build awareness and transparency in the system.

Real-Time Data Entry ⏱️: Continuous data entry for four FPOs ensured real-time updates, which will help Digital Green Trust organize Buyer-Seller meetings. These interactions offer exposure visits and crucial training sessions to FPO board members on financial and operational activities.

Government Support for Fish Farming 🐟: With NABARD’s training program, farmers in the Fish farming sector are now eligible for Subsidy Schemes. A field visit to Andhra Pradesh is being planned to further enhance the skills of fish farmers.

On this special occasion of 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐃𝐚𝐲, we had the privilege of meeting 𝐋𝐚𝐯𝐮 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐧𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐮 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐮, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Narasaraopet, at 𝐄𝐬𝐰𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞, during the inauguration of their incubation center.

During the event, 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐮 𝐕.𝐊., 𝐂𝐎𝐎 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐂𝐎𝐓, had an insightful discussion with the MP about expanding GCOT’s mission to make 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐢-𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 accessible to farmers across 𝟕 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 in and around 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐭.
