The AIMS will work to Empower Muslims and other marginalised communities. AIMS plans to build a sold network of all such communities in the new State of Telangana and elsewhere so that concerted efforts on a State-wide level can be made to obtain Government support for the needy and to achieve our demands and our vital needs. Secondly, 99% power and money in T lies with the politicians. It is the
Chief Minister of a State who takes all the crucial decisions as to which community needs to be supported by the State. Ever since independence, Indian Muslims have been constantly ignored and sidelines by successive Governments. An investigation into the reasons for this and the main reason for this neglect has been discovered:
There is only one language that will compel the politician to listen to your demands. That language is the language of Votes and Votes that are controlled in huge groups. The political parties have noticed that, unlike other communities like the Malas, Madigas, etc., the Muslim community is totally dis-organized, and they do not have any central leadership or control over their votes. Their votes easily fall like rain, without any direction or control. With this situation existing, the parties have never seriously bothered about Muslims, who have drifted to the bottom of the pile in the State. Today there are over 70 MLA Constituencies in Telangana where the Muslim vote can give victory to main-stream party candidates if the vote is cast unitedly in favor of any one particular candidate in each constituency. Towards this end, we have created a powerful tool for the Muslim community, which will provide a non-aligned and non-political platform for Muslim to unite on and to vote in a controlled manner. This tool is known as “All India Muslim Sangam!”- AIMS. AIMS is non-aligned and “Not for Profit” NGO whose sole aim is, to unite Muslim votes in Telangana and in other States and to use the power of that united vote to obtain much needed support for the poor Muslims in each constituency. The 30 member selection committee of the Sangam comprising respected and non-political Muslim drawn from each constituency and from the cream of the larger cities, will take stock of the situation, meet each candidate and will then decide which candidate deserves to get the Muslim vote in each constituency. Once this is done, Muslims will be directed to vote only for that particular candidate in each constituency. Once the candidate wins and becomes an MLA, the Sangam will be standing behind the MLAs back to ensure that he delivers on promises to Muslims and does their work for the next five years. In case any MLA does not help Muslims after winning, the Sangam will direct the Muslim vote to his competitor in the next elections so that he cannot come back to power so easily.
