India is the largest exporter of manpower comprising blue-collar workers (unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled) and white collar workers (technical, non-technical, office staff and professional category); India is one of the major labour sending country and Indian labour / workers are in demand in all the major labour receiving countries of the world; large number of women emigrants from India are
working in ECR countries;
The Indian emigrants and the intending emigrants are having various problems, complaints, grievances and issues both in India and abroad; sensing the gravity of the matter, an informal group of social activists, advocates , senior bureaucrats started working in this direction for more than a decade in addressing the matters related to intending emigrants and emigrants;
Realizing the magnitude and seriousness of the matter AND to reach maximum number of emigrants and the intending emigrants in India and abroad, the informal group felt the need and urgency of a dedicated and devoted separate NGO /NPO for this purpose and succeeded in starting VOICE OF INDIAN EMIGRANTS; it is registered as society bearing Reg.No.875/2010 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh with the concurrence and approval of Government of India.
