Flow means change,
Then why periods make me stop?
A flow which is meant to give life,
Why does it mean restraint and constriction?

Why is period still a myth, issue of access and cause of missed opportunities for our adolescent girls in India?

A 2023 report highlighted that 1 in 5 adolescent girls in India drop out of school due to lack of menstrual education and access to sanitary products!

At Teach For Change, we wanted to change this! With the help of our long term supported the Veni Rao Foundation, our vision saw light..

We reached 6000 adolescent girls in rural Narayanpet and Mahabubnagar districts of Telangana through FlowForward! An initiative of distribution of reusable sanitary pads and awareness workshops on Menstrual Health and Hygiene.

We faced the stereotypes, we endured the looks but we continued with our support. The time to make this change for our government school girls is NOW! If you are interested to be part of our journey, comment, like and share !

We at Teach For Change are working to reach volunteers in the rural districts of Telangana. With the Student-Teacher Initiative we are reaching to DIETs to train and support the student -teachers with :
1. Communicative English language development (activity based) lesson plans
2. ⁠Daily Ex*****on support for trainees
3. ⁠One day training with international classroom pedagogy strategies for trainees

We collaborated with DIET Medak and trained 78 second year trainees to go for their classroom training.

Teach for change is working on the vision of to make quality education accessible for students in government schools. We call for all DIETs in Telangana to come join us in this initiative 🙏
