Ameer-e-Halqa Dr. Khalid Mubashir uz Zafar Attends Hyderabad Malayali Halqa Iftar Party 🕌🌙
During his address, Dr. Khalid highlighted the spiritual significance of Ramadan, emphasizing that it’s not merely about abstaining from food and drink but a time of self-purification, empathy, and increased devotion to Allah. He reminded the gathering of the immense reward promised for those who provide Iftar to others, sharing the hadith:
"Whoever gives food for a fasting person to break his fast, he will have a reward like theirs, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest." (Tirmidhi)
Dr. Khalid also paid tribute to the rich Islamic heritage of the Malayali Muslim community, acknowledging their contributions to education, commerce, and humanitarian efforts. He urged the audience to uphold the values of unity and social responsibility, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadan.
As the gathering prepared to break their fast, Dr. Khalid encouraged everyone to seize the powerful moment of Du'a before Iftar, reminding them of the Prophet ﷺ's words:
"Three supplications are never rejected: the supplication of a father for his child, the supplication of a fasting person at the time of breaking his fast, and the supplication of the oppressed." (Ibn Majah)
The evening concluded with a Iftar meal, fostering deeper bonds of brotherhood and reinforcing the spirit of Ramadan.
