Chipasula Secondary School in Lilongwe has awarded its best performing students and teachers, with K7 million cash prizes, after emerging as the top performing city day-shift secondary school during this year's both Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) and Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations.

The school has registered a 100 percent pass rate and 95 percent pass rate 2025 JCE and MSCE examinations respectively.

During the award presentation ceremony, 12 students who scored between 10 and 13 points in MSCE have received money ranging from K50,000 to K80,000 kwacha, while five students in JCE category have received between K20,000 and K25,000.

On teachers, K312,000 is the highest prize that has gone to the best performing teacher in MSCE category, while the teacher whose students passed with most distinctions in JCE has received K104,000.

Chairperson for Board of Governance at the school, Alfred Butao, attributes the success to collaboration between teachers and parents.

Our 16 students who are learning MS Word Skills made 8 pages of booklet on the theme of Cricket. The booklet was launched by Sri Milind Ananad, Cricketer. He appreciated the skills and honoured them with certification. It was a great day.
