The Lasyakalpa Foundation for Arts, born out of a dream of three artists, wishes to bring the Indian traditional art forms into the contemporary times in a manner in which both, the profoundness of the tradition and the relevance of the modernity complement and enrich each other. It aims at showcasing art in its highest quality to rasikas of various music and dance forms, and create a platform for

the intellectuality in the art forms to be celebrated. It also aspires to be a channel through which education in art can be evolved further and those passionate in learning them can have access to training that is state-of-the-art. Being artists themselves, those involved with Lasyakalpa understand the depth of Indian classical arts and give utmost importance to aesthetic appeal and elegance in presenting them.

The parampara continues!

One of the oldest disciples of Lasyakalpa Dance Academy, takes on the role of becoming an Acharya herself with her dance school

The support of her guru and uncle is omnipresent, not just through years of guidance and encouragement but also through precious acts of love like hand-drawing and designing a logo, among other things!

We, at Lasyakalpa, are proud of you Sameera! And congratulations to all the students who received their first gajjalu and were blessed by elders in their Gajja puja!

As always, garu stands are a pillar of support behind every endeavour of dance!

A few glimpses from a 3-day workshop by Lasyakalpa earlier this year.

Many students have recounted that the learning experience from those 3 days aptly encapsulated the entire spectrum of training under DSV Sastry sir and Dr. Katyayani Kanak. It was not just about learning a piece. It went in-depth into music, rhythm, musicality, abhinaya, intentionality, body conditioning, exposure into Telugu culture and many more.

For more such advanced level, long term training, classes begin from 2026.
