Dialogue Restores Hope to a Mother ❤️
At Sayodhya - Home for Women in Need, we believe that counselling and mediation can help families find a way forward.
One of the women staying at our Medchal Shelter Home had been separated from her two children. While her son was staying with her parents, her daughter was staying with her husband. Being unable to meet and spend time with her children caused her immense emotional distress.
Our counsellors and legal advisor worked patiently with both her parents and her husband's family through a series of counselling and mediation sessions. Together, they discussed the emotional well-being of the children and the importance of maintaining a healthy relationship between a mother and her children.
After several counselling sessions, both families agreed that she should be able to meet her children at least once every month.
When she was finally able to spend time with her children again, she was overwhelmed with emotion. The reunion brought her immense happiness and renewed hope of remaining an active part of their lives.
At the end of the day, this is what we strive for—not simply resolving disputes, but creating space for dialogue and mediation so that mothers, children, and families can move forward with mutual respect, healthy boundaries, and hope.
