The first rituals, the first prayers, and that first little feeling in the heart that says, Maa is coming! ❤️✨

Our Khuti Pujo this morning marked the beginning of something beautiful. A celebration of faith, culture, tradition, and the togetherness that makes Durga Pujo so special to us.

The dhaak may not have reached its full rhythm yet, the pandal may still be taking shape, but the excitement? Oh, it’s already here! ❤️

From generations who have carried these traditions in their hearts to little ones experiencing the magic for the first time, Pujo brings us all together in the most beautiful way.

And just like that, the countdown feels a little more real. The preparations have begun, the prayers are rising, and our hearts are already waiting for her arrival.

Khuti Pujo 2026. The beginning of our favourite homecoming. 🌺

There is a moment when the world is still asleep, but Bengalis are already awake.

The air grows still. The shankh echoes through the silence. Birendra Krishna Bhadra’s immortal voice fills our homes, and suddenly, we are no longer where we are. We are home. We are children again, waiting for Maa.

Mahalaya is not just a date. It is a feeling that lives in every Bengali heart.

It is the first goosebumps when Mahishasura Mardini begins.
It is Ma’s eyes slowly coming alive in the hands of the artisans.
It is the scent of shiuli flowers on a misty morning, the sound of the dhaak somewhere in the distance, and a heart that knows - Maa is coming.

For some, it is a cherished childhood memory. For others, it is a tradition passed down through generations. And for all of us, it is that beautiful, unspoken promise that no matter how far life takes us, Pujo will always bring us back to where we belong.

Today, we remember the divine beginning of Maa Durga’s journey to Earth. We welcome the light after darkness and the triumph of good over evil.

The wait has a heartbeat now.
The prayers have a voice.
And somewhere deep within us, the dhaak has begun to play.

🔱 Shubho Mahalaya.
Maa aschen. ❤️🌺

8 DAYS TO GO ♥️

There’s something about Bhog that feels different. It begins as an offering to Maa, prepared with devotion, served with love, and then shared with everyone.

At Hyderabad Bangalee Samity, Bhog is more than what’s on the plate. It is the countless hands that prepare and serve it, the people who sit together to eat, the conversations shared over a simple meal, and the feeling that everyone has a place at the table.

It is seva. It is togetherness. It is Pujo. 🌺

Because when Bhog is shared, something beautiful happens. Maa’s blessings become a meal, and a meal becomes a memory.

8 days until we gather again.
8 days until the first Bhog. ❤️

10 DAYS TO GO. 🌿❤️
