Naandi Water Naandi Community Water Services (NCWS) is a pure drinking water delivery programme for the poor with a mission to provide safe water to all!

Follow us on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/NaandiWater Naandi, which in Sanskrit means a new beginning; is one of the largest and fastest growing social sector organisations in India working to make poverty history. Founded in 1998 our work has 3 broad sectors: Child Rights, Safe Drinking Water and Sustainable Livelihoods. We also have a research arm that takes up action researches and other f

ield based trials to check out innovations and their potential to positively influence policy. Our ideology revolves around building sustainable models within the social sector that deliver critical services efficiently and equitably to underserved communities. In 2007, Naandi ventured into the Safe Drinking Water programme in 2007 to install and operate community water centers able to reliably and cost-effectively address water contamination issues, which have grown very rapidly in recent years. The health consequences of poor drinking water quality are enormous. According to WaterAid, around 37.7 million Indians are affected by waterborne diseases annually and 1.5 million children die of diarrhea alone. The economic burden associated with unsafe water is estimated at $600 million a year. To tackle this problem effectively Naandi partnered with Danone Communities, the social investment fund of Danone Group; a leading food and beverage company, in 2010 to jointly set up Naandi Community Water Services (aka Naandi Water). This new social enterprise is a self sustainable model combining a management discipline and a strong social fibre towards the goal of providing inclusive access to safe drinking water. Today, NCWS provides clean drinking water to close to 2.3 million people in over 400 villages of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. NCWS with a team of 150 + experienced professionals, is the largest and most experienced community water centre operator in India, with ambitious plans for further and rapid expansion.

Would you send your child to school knowing the drinking water could make them sick?

In Vatika, Rajasthan, over 2,600 students in 9 government schools face this reality every day.

Their only available water sources often test high for TDS and harmful bacteria — causing repeated illnesses, missed school days, and long-term health setbacks.

There’s a solution: clean, BIS-standard water from the nearby iPure Community Water Center. But they need support to keep it flowing.

💧 Just ₹350 provides a child safe drinking water for a whole year.

Make clean water a certainty, not a luxury:

Let’s keep kids safe and healthy this monsoon.

In Vatika’s remote villages, seasonal downpours often contaminate local water sources, putting children at high risk of diarrhea, typhoid, jaundice, and frequent school absences.

With your support, over 2,600 students across 9 government schools can drink water that meets BIS 10500 safety norms from the iPure Community Water Center — the cleanest source around.

Our tests show their local water is unsafe for consumption. Without fresh funding, these children are at risk of falling ill and falling behind in class.

Every rupee you donate secures safe drinking water and essential hygiene awareness sessions, empowering health, attendance, and brighter futures for these children.
