Building connections, sharing experiences, and creating pathways for inclusion.
On 3 June 2026, Nayi Disha, in collaboration with Veruschka Foundation, hosted a Parent Engagement and Awareness Session in Hyderabad, bringing together 28 parents and caregivers and 5 professionals for an afternoon of learning, reflection, and community building.
The session featured engaging activities, including a Bollywood-themed ice-breaker where parents shared proud moments about their children, the thought-provoking "Walk in My Shoes" empathy exercise, a hands-on culinary session, reflective discussions, and an interactive Q&A on inclusion, independence, skill-building, vocational opportunities, and future planning.
What made the event truly special was the openness with which parents shared their journeys, challenges, and victories. These conversations reminded us that while every family's path is unique, no one has to walk it alone.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Tatyana Dias, Founder & CEO of Veruschka Foundation, for sharing the foundation's vision of empowering families with skill-building, independence, and sustainable livelihood opportunities, and for helping create a meaningful space for learning and connection.
Thank you to Veruschka Foundation, all participating families, professionals, and speakers for making this an inspiring gathering.
