π¨ Wildlife Poachers Nabbed in Adilabad π¨

In a major crackdown on illegal wildlife hunting, Adilabad District Police conducted simultaneous raids with 10 special teams across the district and registered 4 cases against poachers. This operation was launched under the direction of District SP Akhil Mahajan IPS to curb poaching and wildlife crimes.
πΉ Seized Items Include:
One double-bore gun
One air gun
Deer head with antlers
Deer antler pieces
Hunting gear: knives, torch lights, target papers, jackets, shoes, bags
100+ meters of hunting wire mesh (J-wire & nylon mesh)
Electric wires, animal traps, and spears
π€ Accused Persons:
Shoaib Afzal β Adilabad One Town
Shaik Shareef β Gutkuru, Tamsi
Atram Maruthi β Vagapur, Mavala
Atram Bheemrao β Vagapur, Mavala
Each of them has been booked under relevant wildlife protection laws. The seized weapons and materials indicate planned and deliberate poaching activities.
SP Akhil Mahajan IPS emphasized that harming wild animals is a punishable offense under Indian law, and strict action will be taken against violators. He urged citizens to actively protect wildlife and report any suspicious activities related to hunting or poaching.
