Book Bliss Reading Session | Wellness & Naturopathy at VSR Vriksha

A beautiful day out amidst the pure, raw nature of VSR Vriksha — good books, great conversations and delicious Satvik food.

Our four-hour reading session on Wellness, Naturopathy & Natural Healing was lively and enriching, with members sharing from their chosen books and experiences.

VSR added beautifully to the day with yogic stretches, breathing exercises and an insightful talk on nutrition by Mr. Bhargav.

Books, wellness, laughter, learning and togetherness ,a day of fun and knowledge indeed!

Payal Agarwal presented Resilience Decoded: What Every Parent Should Know About Teen Mental Health by Dr. Sujata Kelkar Shetty. Through a warm and engaging presentation, she highlighted how resilience is not something we are born with, but a life skill that can be nurtured in children through understanding, communication, and everyday experiences. Her presentation was insightful, practical, and deeply relatable.

Some books are meant to be read. Some are meant to be lived.

This evening, I attended the launch of 101 Quotes from the Bhagavad Gita by Suchitra Krishnamoorthi. One thought she shared stayed with me. The Bhagavad Gita has 701 verses, but these are the 101 that quietly walked with her through different phases of life.

Listening to the Sanskrit shlokas, beautifully rendered by her sister, followed by Suchitra’s simple interpretation in English, made the wisdom feel so accessible.

Three verses that have stayed with me over the years…

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन। (2.47)
Do your work. Let go of the worry about the results.

उद्धरेदात्मनात्मानं नात्मानमवसादयेत्। (6.5)
Your greatest strength—and your greatest challenge—is your own mind.

यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत। (4.7)
Whenever goodness seems to fade, it always finds a way to return.
