The Philanthropy India’s mission has been and is being accomplished through:

Building NGO’s institutional capacities by providing them with training, technical assistance & appropriate operational systems & tools; either as part of the NGOs Capacity Building Program or on behalf of donors and/or corporations interested in strengthening NGOs. Stimulating NGO’s to engage in advocacy activities, alongside with their service and development programs, to effectively and comprehensively address priority issues of their constituencies. Providing NGOs with Legal Consultation and Advocacy to eliminate admin and legal obstacles aiming to improve the legal environment of all the NGOs formation and activities. Generating new resources & opportunities for the civil society and NGO’s, through:

1) Hosting CSO& NGOs’ dialogue with donors, private sector and the government.
2) Assisting NGOs to generate revenues from non-conventional sources.
3) Encourage Fund-raisers & volunteer recruitment & management.
4) Establish networks and forums with peer civil society entities, and work competently with the government and private sector to improve living conditions and protect rights of citizens, especially marginalized groups.
5) Providing NGOs & donors with Data/Information, Communication and Information Technology, through the Philanthropy India’s On-line services Hosting NGOs’ websites. Access to internet connection;

Access to up-to-date directories and/or D-bases of top-notch consultants, NGOs and donors. Access to relevant, up-to-date printed and audio-visual materials related to Civil Society through a lending library/resource center.
6) Managing grants to NGOs, on behalf of donors or corporations interested in funding development and reform programs.
