Kriti hosted its Annual Day in Talabkatta to celebrate Project Pehchaan—and a major milestone: reaching 100 Self-Help Groups and over 1,000 women this year 💫 We were honored to host chief guest Narender Kande, whose work with SHGs continues to inspire.

The day was filled with joy and energy—qawwali, dance, and comedy bringing the community together in celebration.

And then, powerful moments that demanded attention. Skits and poems that confronted domestic violence, child marriage, girls’ education, and women’s employment—raw, honest, and impossible to ignore.

More than a celebration, it was a space where women’s voices were not just heard—but felt. ✨

Kriti’s Annual Day was a joyful celebration of the organization’s impact over the past year and the inspiring women who make our community thrive. From expanding to 100 self-help groups under Project Pehchaan and reaching 6000+ government school students to awarding 700 scholarships and supporting 1,000 women through vocational training in Fy25-26, the day was a proud reflection of collective progress.

We were honored to welcome our Chief Guest Dr. Sheela Prasad, and thankful to the mentors from Project Prerana for joining us. The celebrations ended with wonderful performances, energetic ramp walks, and creative showcases including rangoli, mehendi, jewelry making, and more—highlighting the talent, creativity, and confidence of our community.

✨ A beneficiary of Project Milan shares her journey.

Growing up with a single mother and married right after completing 10th grade, she discovered Kriti’s vocational trainings through word of mouth. Today, she’s empowered—using her newly learned beautician skills to work, earn, and support her family.

So proud of her strength and resilience.

An inspiring day at the University of Hyderabad!

As part of Kriti’s annual field trip, 100+ Disha scholars from Grades 10 and 11, representing 29 schools, explored STEM careers through hands-on learning and exposure to a real university environment.

The Zenith Club (Astronomy Club) hosted an engaging session that included rooftop telescope viewing at the Physics Department, along with interactive demonstrations on light, rays, lenses, and the solar system. For many students, this was their first time seeing and using a telescope—observing Jupiter was a particularly exciting highlight.

Students shared positive feedback, enjoyed quiz sessions, and felt encouraged by receiving certificates from the University of Hyderabad. The day concluded with outdoor activities, collaborative learning, and memorable experiences that sparked curiosity and motivation toward STEM futures.

Moments like these remind us why experiential learning and exposure opportunities are so important in shaping aspirations and opening new pathways for students.
