Another dynamic session with some amazing folks working in rural Karnataka. These workshops are as much a learning for us as they are for those who attend—each one filled with shared stories, insights, and new perspectives. We look forward to hosting more such trainings and strengthening efforts towards safe coexistence.

We invite NGOs that are working in rural Karnataka and are interested in being trained in human-snake conflict mitigation and management to reach out. We’re in the process of organising more sessions and look forward to hosting you at the farm.

Our reach as a single organisation is limited—but together, it grows! 🌱

We are collaborating with NGOs that already have strong, trusted connections within their communities. To support them, we are hosting free, day-long workshops focused on snake awareness and snakebite mitigation.

This ongoing initiative—conducted in both English and Kannada—is designed for NGOs working in rural India.

Our first session brought together inspiring organisations from permaculture, conservation, education, and community engagement spaces. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up with openness, curiosity, and a willingness to share their experiences.

Real change happens when knowledge is shared, and communities come together. 💚

Curious about snakes and how we can live alongside them safely?

Join us for Coexisting with Snakes, a free webinar where we’ll explore snake behaviour, learn how to respond safely during encounters, and understand why removing snakes from our surroundings is not the solution.

This session is designed to replace fear with knowledge and help communities build confidence in sharing space with wildlife.

📅 Date: 15th March
⏰ Time: 6pm - 7pm

Come learn, ask questions, and discover how coexistence with snakes is possible.

Four fantastic days of the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC)- our tally at Liana Forest Farm was 86 species! We were especially excited to see a yellow bittern, western marsh harrier, booted eagle, Baillon’s crake, and ruddy breasted crakes.

GBBC is a worldwide citizen-science event where bird enthusiasts of all levels observe and report the birds they see to help scientists track populations and migration patterns.

Thank you and for taking the lead and making it a fun weekend for everyone💚

We were honoured to have Maharani Trishikha Kumari Wadiyar open our exhibit ‘Living with Snakes’ on 9th February 2026.

This interactive space exploring snakes, snakebite, and safe coexistence will host schools from across Mysore district. We aim to dispel myths and foster an understanding about snakes that will significantly reduce conflict.

This project was made possible by support from the Duleep Matthai Nature Conservation Foundation.

Snakebite Envenoming (SBE) kills up to
138,000 people every year and causes over
400,000 permanent disabilities, yet it remains largely invisible in global health agendas.

Testimony from researchers, doctors, snake
handlers, and survivors tell the story of how
investment in solutions to this crisis, from R&D to community education, could save lives in the fight against SBE.

It is time for the global community to act to
meet WHO’s goal to halve deaths by 2030.
Together we can – and must – Strike Out

As part of a programme to support snakebite survivors and families of victims, we are piloting apiculture with four farmers in Ratnapuri. Each farmer has received 10 bee boxes, providing an additional source of income while supporting local biodiversity.

The programme includes hands-on training for farmers on bee behaviour, hive maintenance, and colony expansion, along with ongoing support to help them successfully integrate apiculture into their farming practices.
