Where the Mind Is Without Fear
Where the Head Is Held High
Against the vast, open sky,
a child holds a string —
light, steady, hopeful.
The kite rises,
just as dreams do,
untangled by fear,
guided by courage.

In this gentle moment of kite flying,
there is more than play —
there is freedom,
there is confidence,
there is the innocence of believing
that the sky is not a limit,
but a beginning.
> “Into that heaven of freedom, my Father,
let my country awake.”
Like the kite,
my child learns to rise —
sometimes swayed by the wind,
sometimes pulled back by the string,
yet always taught
how to soar again.
Because a fearless mind
and a lifted head
are first learned
under an open sky.
