Under the banner of Project Shakti, BNLC14, along with 10 other circles across India, is proud to have executed a powerful National initiative for Women Empowerment, by donating 4 sewing machines to the Sackhumvit Trust for the benefit of 100 women in the Chamundi Nagar slum in RT Nagar, Bangalore on 8th August 2024. The joy and tears of happiness in the faces of the women receiving the machines added to our joy of collaborating and getting to know some amazing circlers across the country. We also profusely thank Sackhumvit Trust for providing space in their office center so that maximum women from the slum can use the machines. Special mention to Area 6 Vice Chairperson Tr Sachin Talreja who helped negotiate and procure the machines for the project. The event was attended by Area 6 Chairperson Cr Vedika, Area 6 Project Convenor Cr Supraja, BNLC14 Chairperson Cr Manasa, BNLC 14 Secretary Cr Deepthi and BTLC 122 Chairperson Cr Swarna. An online zoom link allowed Cr Shilpa, Cr Raina, Cr Ashwini, Cr Veda (all from BNLC 14), Area 6 AST Cr Deeya and Cr Vrinda (KHLC88), to witness the ex*****on of the project. We thank all participating circles for trusting BNLC14 for the ex*****on and look forward to working together a lot more in the future. Thanks are also due to the National team for having envisaged such a wonderful initiative and for grouping circles across the country and to the Area team for all their support.
