Founded in the year 2014 by a small group of enthusiasts and students, today it boasts of a 70 member strong team. Initially Sristi focused on problems pertaining to the quality of ed
ucation in rural schools and also addressed problems relating to lack of school supplies. Eventually this initiative came to be known as their ‘Shikshan’ drive. In the coming years, Sristi gradually expanded their drives and also ventured into clothes distribution initiatives which later on came to be known as ‘Paridhan’. It also adopted various programs related to pressing environmental issues. As of today, Shikshan and Paridhan represent two important brands, the success of which has catapulted the organization to greater heights. In recent times, Shibpur Sristi’s work has been widely appreciated and has been covered in various journals and newspapers like Ei Samay, Dainik Statesman, Bengal Express so and so forth.
