Samaritan Help Mission Empowering today's children & youth of Tikiapara, Howrah through education, life skills & vocational At Samaritan Help Mission we dream with our eyes open.

What started as one child's dream to go to school 30 years back, has today metamorphosed into a movement that has touched and changed innumerable children's lives in Tikiapara, Howrah. Our aim is to give a better future to the underprivileged children of all the communities in our slum. From 8 students two decades back, we have grown into a family of over 800 students who attend multiple institutions including the SHM School, vocational & skill development centers, English & Computer training facilities and even the day care & rehabilitation center for children with special needs. We want to educate and empower the community's youth and prepare them to be more confident and equipped citizens of tomorrow. We believe we can be the change we want to see.

Samaritan Mission School celebrated the spirit of freedom with pride, respect, and patriotism. The celebration began with teachers paying floral tributes to the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our nation, followed by inspiring songs and vibrant dance performances by our students.

Learning beyond the classroom! Samaritan Help Mission was delighted to host the 1st Semester MSW students from St. Xavier's University for an engaging field exposure visit. The students explored our community learning centers, interacted with school children, visited our healthcare and eye hospital units, and witnessed vocational skill training in action.

Listening to community experiences and understanding grassroots development firsthand brought social work theory to life. Thank you to the students and faculty of St. Xavier's University for visiting us and sharing this wonderful learning experience!

Celebrating Community Service & Social Impact!

Samaritan Help Mission proudly congratulates the following students on successfully completing their Social Internship Programme from 1st June to 29th July 2026:
