The word ‘Aashayein’ means hopes, so, with the hope to bring change in our society and for the development of young children and students in our country, a group of young like-minded professionals from different parts of City of Joy decided to work together with a common vision to give something back to the society and it could not have been better than taking initiatives targeted at providing edu

cation to underprivileged children and deserving students, who are future of our Nation. Finally the thoughts came into reality on 26th August, 2011 when Aashayein got itself registered as non-profit organization with the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961. It is an independent NGO, with no religious or political affiliation.
