An outreach program of our Eco Club was held in the "Shubhankar Patra Butterfly Garden & Dragonfly Pond" of Sundarban Delta Ecotourism Cottage at Bali Island, Sundarban to educate the school students about the Butterfly Garden and Dragonfly Pond and their importance. And also gave some besic knowledges about Butterflies and Odonatas.
In collaboration with Sundarban Delta Eco-Tourism .
The students and teachers of Sundarban Asitbaran High School and Bijoynagar Adorsho Vidyamandir were participated in this program.

" World Wetland Day "

Wetlands are highly productive and biologically diverse systems that function as natural sponges that trap and slowly release surface water, rain, groundwater and flood waters.Thus they enhance water quality, control erosion, maintain stream flows, sequester carbon, and provide a home to at least one third of all threatened and endangered species.
So, wetland systems directly and indirectly support lakhs of people, providing goods and services to them.

On the occasion of World Wetland Day, today we have organised a nature walk and bird watching session at Santragachi Jheel.

Our Eco Club's Wildlife Art Team got an assignment from "Wildlife Trust of India (WTI)- Sundarban Project" to paint the walls in one of their Sundarban Education Centre. This time we painted different types of Flora and Fauna of Sundarbans.
Finally the Education Centre has opened on this Monday, 22nd January. Various national NGOs and IUCN representatives have attended the inaugural ceremony.
Thanks to Wildlife Trust of India for giving us this opportunity.

আজ থেকে শুরু হলো শ্যামপুর কৃষি মেলা ওরফে শ্যামপুর গ্রামীণ মেলা ২০২৪, চলবে ২০ ই জানুয়ারী থেকে ২৬ এ জানুয়ারি পর্যন্ত। প্রত্যেকবারের মতো এবারেও মেলা কর্তৃপক্ষের অনুরোধে ইকো-ক্লাব, শ্যামপুর সিদ্ধেশ্বরী মহাবিদ্যালয় আয়োজন করেছে প্রকৃতি এবং পরিবেশ সচেতনতা শিবির। প্রথম দিনেই সেখানে দর্শকের ভিড়।

"Snake Bite Awareness & Management Camp"
To save the people from snake bites and the snakes from getting killed, the "Snake Bite Awareness & Management Camp" was organised by the Nakole High School in collaboration with the Eco Club and Dept. of Zoology, of Shyampur Siddheshwari Mahavidyalaya in the Nakole village of Howrah district. More than 80 students and teachers participated and the camp was done successfully with positive feedback.
Thanks to all the volunteers associated with Eco-Club for their efforts for this awareness camp.
