Illuminating Alumni Meet 2026
Belur Math, 18th January 2026 : Ramakrishna Mission Sikshanamandira, Belur Math, Howrah witnessed an illuminating Alumni Meet conducted by Ramakrishna Mission Sikshanamandira Praktani Association in Collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission Sikshanamandira yesterday. 79 Alumni along with a number of guests made the day absolutely memorable. They looked back with nostalgia. The past days became vibrant with gossips, selfies, group photos and forgotten laughters. The day started with flower-offerings to Thakur-Ma-Swamiji at 7 am. The flag of the college was hoisted by Revered Shrimat Swami Vidyamritanandaji Maharaj ,Principal, Ramakrishna Mission Sikshanamandira at 9 am.The Alumni had registered earlier in Online mode. They signed, took breakfast and took the flavour of their golden past. Cultural Programme started from 10-30 am in Vivekananda Hall with Vedic Chanting and opening song. Dr Biswajit Chatterjee, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Sikshanamandira Praktani Association, delivered Welcome Speech. Respected Shrimat Swami Vidyamritanandaji Maharaj, Principal, Ramakrishna Mission Sikshanamandira, delivered Inaugural Speech. He emphasized on the ways to strengthen the Association. A special Lecture by Shrimat Swami Vedanuraganandaji Maharaj, Controller of Examinations, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, Rahara made everyone spellbound. His excellent oration on the topic Education is the Transformation of Life : Swami Vivekananda's Perspective is treat to remember. . 'Smaranika',the Magazine of the Alumni, was published by revered Maharajas. Swami Tattwasarananda, Principal, Monk Training Centre, Belur Math and ex Principal of Sikshanamandira, showered his blessings with his precious Speech. The most interesting session was to share the memories of the Alumni. The Alumni poured their hearts in this session. Respected Swami Mahaprajnanandaji Maharaj, Principal ,Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira as well as an Alumnus of Sikshanamandira, delivered an inspiring speech. Shri Sukumar Mukhopadhyay anchored the Programme. Dr Siharan Chakraborty, President, Ramakrishna Mission Sikshanamandira Praktani Association, presented the Vote of Thanks. The first half of the programme was completed. A delicious lunch in the hostel dining hall soothed every one. Gossips went on. Some games were arranged. AGM continued from 3-30 pm to 4-30 pm to strengthen and discuss various approaches of Alumni in the previous year as well as the coming year. It completed the day.
Time rolls, Memory crawls. The Alumni relished the day with their heart's content. The sun was setting, diffusing reddish rays. The Alumni were tinged with Passion. The Alumni look forward to such an amazing arrangement.
