হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সঃ)-এর এই মহান বাণী “শৈশব থেকে মৃত্যু পর্যন্ত জ্ঞান অন্বেষণ করো” আমাদের জীবনের প্রতিটি পর্যায়ে শিক্ষার গুরুত্বকে স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয়। এই উক্তির অর্থ হলো—মানুষের শেখার যাত্রা জন্মের পর থেকেই শুরু হয় এবং মৃত্যুর আগ পর্যন্ত চলতে থাকে। শিক্ষা কেবল বিদ্যালয়ে বা যৌবনে সীমাবদ্ধ নয়; এটি আজীবন চলমান এক পবিত্র সাধনা।

এই উক্তি আমাদের শেখায় যে প্রকৃত শিক্ষা শুধু তথ্য সংগ্রহ নয়; বরং তা জ্ঞান, প্রজ্ঞা ও চরিত্রের বিকাশ। যদি কোনো ব্যক্তি জ্ঞানী হয় কিন্তু বিনয় ও নৈতিকতা না থাকে, তবে সেই জ্ঞান অসম্পূর্ণ। সত্যিকার জ্ঞান মানুষকে সৎ কাজ করতে, অন্যদের সাহায্য করতে এবং সমাজে ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তন আনতে উদ্বুদ্ধ করে।
আজীবন শিক্ষা মনকে সক্রিয় রাখে এবং আত্মাকে বিনম্র করে। জীবনের প্রতিটি ধাপে শেখার কিছু না কিছু থাকে—শৈশবের নিষ্পাপতা থেকে শুরু করে বার্ধক্যের অভিজ্ঞতা পর্যন্ত। ইসলাম শেখায়, শেখার কোনো শেষ নেই; প্রতিটি দিনই নতুনভাবে সত্য ও প্রজ্ঞার দিকে এগিয়ে যাওয়ার সুযোগ।
