Aatmsukh Aashram athletes win 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze Medals at the Special Olympics Bharat National Athletics Championship held in Rohtak (02–07 February 2026).

A meaningful legal awareness seminar was organized at Aatmsukh Aatmdev Ashram by Mrs. Pooja, Advocate, in collaboration with the Legal Services Authority, especially for divyang (disabled) students. The main objective of the seminar was to make special students aware of their legal rights, government welfare schemes, and free legal aid services available to them under the law.

During the seminar, Mrs. Pooja Advocate explained in simple and easy language the various rights of persons with disabilities, protection provided under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, and the important role of the Legal Services Authority in offering free legal assistance to needy and marginalized sections of society. She motivated the students to remain confident, informed, and self-reliant so that they can safeguard their rights and live with dignity.

The seminar proved to be highly informative and inspiring for the disabled students residing at Aatmsukh Aatmdev Ashram. Teachers and staff members of the Ashram appreciated this thoughtful initiative and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Pooja Advocate and the Legal Services Authority for their valuable guidance and support.

Such legal awareness programs play a vital role in empowering divyang students and helping them integrate confidently into mainstream society.

Mrs. Poonam Sood, resident of Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, on the death anniversary of her husband, Late Brigadier Shri Deepak Sood (which was on 13-01-2026), organized a Brahmbhoj for the 71 God-like (Divyang) children of Aatmsukh Aatmdev Ashram (For Living Gods) and for the teachers and staff members serving them.

The Godly (Divyang) children of Aatmsukh Aatmdev Ashram and the entire Aatmsukh family offered their heartfelt श्रद्धांजलि (tribute) and prayed to God to grant peace to the soul of Late Brigadier Shri Deepak Sood and give him a place at His divine feet.

A special programme, imbued with the spirit of service and compassion, was organized at Aatmsukh Aatmdev Ashram (for differently-abled children), Hoshiarpur. On this occasion, Australia-based philanthropist Mr. Nitin Khanna presented socks and gloves to the special children of the Ashram, which were distributed to all the children by Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna.

The programme was graced by the presence of former Member of Parliament Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna, Mr. Vijay Sood (prominent businessman), Mr. Anurag Sood (Principal, Vidya Mandir), and Mr. Narayan Singh (resident of Muzaffar Nagar).

While addressing the gathering, the Chief Sevak of the Ashram, Mr. Navdeep Sood, appreciated this humanitarian initiative by Mr. Nitin Khanna and said that the contribution of Non-Resident Indians, by staying connected with their country and society through such service activities, is truly inspiring.

Former MP Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna stated that for the past 13 years, Aatmsukh Aatmdev Ashram has been selflessly serving differently-abled children and continuously guiding them towards values and self-reliance. He highly appreciated the services of the Ashram and assured all possible support.

The sacred festival of Lohri was celebrated with great joy, love, and traditional enthusiasm at Tek Chand Sud Charitable Trust, Old Kanak Mandi, Hoshiarpur, along with some special children (Living Gods).

On this occasion, the Lohri bonfire was lit in the ashram in the traditional manner, in which the special children, devoted volunteers, and ashram staff participated with reverence and happiness. The children sang folk songs to the beat of the dhol, danced joyfully, and traditional offerings such as peanuts, revdi, sesame seeds, and gajak were distributed.

On 14 December 2025, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on the occasion of the 12th International Conference on “Sustainable Global Business Practices and Inclusive Growth,” the “Vishisht Seva Samman 2025” was conferred in recognition of remarkable contributions to the welfare of special children and the field of social service.
On this occasion, Sh. Navdeep Sood, Chief Servant of Tek Chand Sud Charitable Trust, also stated that this achievement is not an individual accomplishment, but the result of the dedicated efforts of the teachers and staff of Aatmsukh Aatmdev Aashram, along with the continuous and selfless support of the trustees of Tech Chand Sood Charitable Trust and Jaswanti Sood Charitable Trust.

This honor was awarded for Best Philanthropist and excellence in social service, and stands as a symbol of national and international appreciation for the continuous efforts of Atmasukh Atmadev Ashram (for the Living Gods) toward the empowerment and holistic development of children with special needs.

The award, bearing the signature of Colonel Dr. V. K. Gautam, a renowned scholar and pioneer in the field of intellectual disability, holds special emotional significance as it has been instituted in memory of his parents.

Sagar, a talented student of Aatmsukh Aatmdev Aashram (For Living Gods), Old Kanak Mandi, Hoshiarpur, has achieved a remarkable accomplishment at the national level by winning a silver medal while playing with the Punjab team in the National Football Championship organized by Special Olympics Bharat. This championship was held in Kolkata from 17 to 21 November 2025.
