President Subroto Phonglosa and Assistant General Secretary of the All Dimasa Students’ Union (ADSU), Hojai District Committee, submitted a representation to the Director, National Health Mission, Assam, seeking the immediate operationalization of Panch Bhander NHM Sub-Centre, Lanka, District Hojai.
Despite the building being completed more than three years ago, the Sub-Centre remains non-functional. The representation highlights the urgent need for:

•Immediate operationalization of the Sub-Centre
•Sanctioning and posting of required healthcare staff
•Provision of essential healthcare facilities and equipment

ADSU Hojai District Committee continues to raise important public welfare issues for the benefit of the local community.

During the meeting, we discussed our upcoming educational and youth-centric initiatives, along with important issues concerning the Tribal Belt and the protection of tribal land and rights.

ADSU Hojai District Committee President Subroto Phonglosa , ADSU Central Committee General Secretary Manthan Kemprai , and Dimasa Sahitya Sabha, Karbi Anglong Committee General Secretary Ringson Surungsa conducted a field visit to an in Hojai.

The purpose of this visit was to understand the historical and cultural significance of the site, conduct ground-level research, and document important historical aspects related to Dimasa heritage.

preparation for the upcoming Central Busu Dima 2027 at Lanka, ADSU Hojai District Committee, along with Alongkha Naisho Hosom, organised a cultural practice and awareness programme focusing on Baidima, Kharam and Muri, with an emphasis on preserving and promoting Dimasa culture among the younger generation.

The programme also included a discussion with SHG, BO and CLF members of Lanka, encouraging collective participation and support for the upcoming cultural celebration.

The programme was graced by the presence of ADSU Central Committee General Secretary Manthan Kemprai and Vice President Adv Shiva Joharisa , along with Barman Dimasa Kachari Development Council Vice Chairman and Councillor .

Together, let us preserve our traditions, strengthen our cultural identity and prepare for a grand Central Busu Dima 2027 at Lanka.
