On this Remembrance Day (23rd January) we honor Pandit Lokmani Sharma — son of Ayurvedacharya Lalaram Mani, born in Pachhara (Mant), Mathura — a fearless freedom fighter and tireless public servant whose life was dedicated to the upliftment of Mathura and nearby communities. From organising and inspiring mass movements across UP and Haryana, enduring imprisonment for the cause of freedom, to writing stirring poems that rallied patriots, his early sacrifices set the tone for a lifetime of service. After Independence he continued to lead at the grassroots — serving in the Gram Panchayat, as Sarpanch, Block Pramukh, MLA in the 1980s and Chairman of the Zila Panchayat — always placing people, education and social justice first. As the principal visionary and the very core of the Krishnakulam concept, his belief that true progress begins with accessible, quality education continues to guide our work and inspire generations to serve with humility and purpose.
