NSS FET Unit–3, Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University), Haridwar successfully organized a Waste Management Awareness Programme at Pandit Lekhram Engineering Hostel on 29 March 2026.

The session featured an expert talk by Mrs. Vibha Goyal (Feedback Foundation Charitable Trust) on scientific waste management practices. Demonstrations on waste segregation by Mr. Zaidi, insights on recycling by Mr. Manas Lakheda, and awareness on cleanliness by Mr. Akhil Kumar enriched the programme. Programme Officer Dr. Mayank Pokhriyal emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and contributing towards SDGs (3, 6, 11, 12, 13).

NSS FET Unit–3 Food Distribution Drive under Swami Shraddhanand Centenary Year 2026: Fulfilling His Vision through Community Service”
Celebrating 2026 as the Centenary Year of the Martyrdom of Swami Shraddhanand, founder of Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University), NSS FET Unit–3, Gurukul Kangri organized a Food Distribution Drive at the adopted slum area Bairagi Camp, Haridwar, and Shankaracharya Chowk. The drive, headed by Amrit Kohli with NSS volunteers Anurag Singh Chauhan, Utkarsh Chaudhary, and Vaibhav, saw the distribution of around 125 food packets to the needy under cold weather conditions in late evening. The activity promoted SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reflecting the volunteers’ commitment to social service and humanitarian values.

Observing World AIDS Day 2025 at Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar! 🌍❤️
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology organized an awareness program today to mark World AIDS Day. The team came together under the motto "Self Before You" (स्वंय से पहले आप) to promote awareness and show support for those affected by HIV/AIDS.

NSS Gurukula Kangri Engineering Unit participated in a free HPV vaccination camp organized by the Rotary Club. Students from various schools received vaccinations during the camp. Dr. Mayank Pokhriyal NSS PO informed that the program was a joint initiative of Project HOPE and the Rotary Club, where NSS volunteers Ayush Yadav , Dhruv Sharma and other from Gurukula Kangri contributed voluntarily to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the camp.

Today, our Gurukula Kangri NSS volunteers observed Swacchata Utsav 2025 on the Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti celebrated by organizing a Cleanliness Drive and Awareness March. 🌊 Committed to River Cleanliness & Conservation! 🌊On the occasion of World River Day, the NSS Unit of Gurukul Kangri University celebrated with the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ initiative. NSS volunteers took a pledge for river cleanliness and conservation, highlighting the ecological, cultural, and economic importance of our rivers.During the event, volunteers were encouraged to actively participate in safeguarding our water resources and maintaining river cleanliness. Outstanding performers in the cleanliness-themed competition were also honored.
