"Foolish men do not know this secret; they nevertheless want to rule mankind. Even a fool may rule the whole world if he works and waits. Let him wait a few years, restrain that foolish idea of governing; and when that idea is wholly gone, he will be a power in the world. "

Swami Sadananda | The First Monastic Disciple of Swami Vivekananda

"O beloved, you have come to my house! I shall prepare the most delicious dish for you with the flesh of my heart." 🌟

We remember the "real manly disciple" of Swamiji. Sadananda was a monk who ran toward danger, serving as the chief general during the deadly Calcutta plague of 1899, treating service to humanity as the ultimate worship of God. He was a disciple so cherished that Swamiji himself carried his shoes and bags across treacherous mountain rivers when he was too weak to walk.

Embrace Jagannath !!!
Mahendranath Gupta (famously known as 'M.'), the brilliant mind behind the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, was a man of strict logic and Western education. Yet, under the silent gaze of his Master, he found himself committing an act of pure, ecstatic rebellion inside the dark, forbidden sanctuary of Puri.

Sri Ramakrishna never physically visited Puri, saying his body would not survive the intensity of the spiritual ecosystem there. Yet, through the heart and arms of his disciple, the circle was completed.

"He is indeed a fit disciple of mine!" — Swami Vivekananda

We look back at the extraordinary life of Swami Virajananda, the 6th President of the Ramakrishna Order. From a young college student guided by 'M' to a spiritual giant who served the direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna at the austere Baranagore Math, his journey is a masterclass in total surrender and unbreakable endurance.
